Community Fitness Center

We are pleased to offer the weight room in the SVRCS gym to the community.  Community members must be 18+ years old OR 15 AND accompanied by a parent/guardian or permitted adult sibling to utilize the weight room.  There will be no fee to use the facility but donations will be accepted to help offset the cost of additional maintenance.  First time users will be required to complete a registration form and sign a waiver of liability.  Please come prepared with proof of identification.  You can find rules and regulations on the school's Facebook page.

WellSpan Mobile Health

Medical Screenings - Stop by Scenic Ridge Foods/Nan's Donuts parking lot at 98 East South Street, Loganton on the 1st Wednesday of each month from 8 Am - 12 PM. WellSpan Hospital (formerly Evangelical) will be bringing their mobile lab to the community offering FREE medical screenings!  Services they will be able to provide are Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, Lipid Point of Care (cholesterol), Bone Density Heel Scans.  No appointments needed. Fasting need for blood glucose testing. Some qualifications for the heel scan exist. Call 1-833-251-0187 with questions

Preschool Playgroup Returns

Preschool playgroup is ongoing for the 25/26 school year.  Starting in September - May, this group  meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday mornings from 9-11 at a local church facility.  This is a parent run group and requires 1 adult to remain with their child for the duration of the morning.  Spots are still available and registration is required by calling 570-367-1351 or emailing djeffries@svrcs.org

About the In-Person Workshop

Penn State Extension invites vegetable and small fruit producers to Grower Update, a program highlighting the latest research findings and field observations to support productive and sustainable operations. Participants will gain timely insights from extension specialists, strengthen their management practices, and have the opportunity to earn pesticide recertification credits from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. The session also offers a valuable forum to connect with fellow growers and exchange experiences from the field..
